C. Wright Pink Ribbon Project

In a landscape where one in 8 women faces a breast cancer diagnosis, organizations like the C. Wright Pink Ribbon Project have become indispensable.

Dedicated to making a difference in the community’s breast cancer landscape, the C. Wright Pink Ribbon Project focuses on education, awareness, and supporting those affected by the disease.

This nonprofit offers ongoing emotional support and financial aid to underserved and underinsured individuals undergoing breast cancer treatment. Their overarching goal is to alleviate the emotional and physical burden associated with battling breast cancer.

Here’s where the Project directs its funds:

  • Assisting with doctor/facility co-payments and pharmacy expenses.
  • Offering monetary aid to cover essential living costs.
  • They also extend personal support to breast cancer patients throughout every stage of their journey—from diagnosis through treatment and recovery.

Planting Seeds of Hope, Education, Support, and Awareness for Communities and Breast Cancer Survivors

Our Mission

To impact breast cancer in our community through education, awareness, and support.

To provide ongoing emotional assistance to under-served and uninsured patients undergoing breast cancer treatment.

To contribute financial sponsorship allowing patients to focus on recovery and survivorship.

To collaborate with community agencies to provide comprehensive services to breast cancer patients in the Bossier and Shreveport areas.

Our Vision

Is simply to help ease the emotional and physical suffering of breast cancer.

According to the National Cancer Institute, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime.

Breast cancer in men is rare, but it does happen. In the U.S., about 1 percent of all breast cancer cases occur in men [American Cancer Society].

Together, WE can make a positive impact in our communities.

The Journey

The C. Wright Pink Ribbon Project 501(c)(3) was developed as a collaborative effort under the Multicultural Developmental Center and Stonewall Missionary Baptist Church, named in honor of a 10 year breast cancer survivor, Catherine A. Wright. The C. Wright Pink Ribbon Project’s aim is to help breast cancer survivors in our local community. The core objectives are to provide access to resources pertinent to overall health, mental, and emotional care.

The Project Funds

Your financial assistance will help provide transportation to and from medical appointments, co-payments, pharmacy expenses, and monetary support to maintain necessary living expenses. Personal support will also be given to breast cancer patients during the diagnosis, treatment, and recovery phase of this devastating illness.

“For me, CWPRP was truly a light at the end of the tunnel. With your help I was able to afford the treatment I needed without turning my family’s world upside down. I simply cannot thank you enough.” ~F.
